Our founder Meena Vashi-Moore, born in India, immigrated to the USA at age 13. To say, “culture shock” is an under- statement. At age 26, she decided to marry a man in her culture. As with any new bride, she thought life would be wonderful. Yet the horror set in early, within the first 3 months Meena became pregnant, and the nightmare began. Like with most abusive partners, it worsened over time. This caused her to turn to alcohol to numb the pain. She at age 33 and her son age 4, then ended up in a battered women’s shelter. Feeling frightened, temporarily homeless, with broken ribs and strangulation marks – all from a near-death assault, yet they were rescued in time.

At age 39 after her pappa died, she relapsed. However, in a few months, she found a faith that works and began living a sober life, rejoining corporate America.

Then, at age, 43, she was laid off from a middle management position due to economic downturns and restructuring. It was then she realized her mission and passion in life was to serve others. 

This helped her discover and be an iPEC Coaching School graduate as a Preferred Partner. She received an Energy Leadership Index-Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) certificate by age 44. Shortly thereafter, she and their team were honored with awards and certificates, one of which was Woman of Outstanding Leadership by the The International Women’s Leadership Association (IWLA) in 2013.

Over the next decade, with people’s generosity of time and their emotional, financial and moral support; Meena, a loyal friend and two family members devoted to service, registered a coaching organization in 2011. In Awe Founda- tion, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides coaching for individuals affected by abuse, addiction and anger.

Since then, Meena states she never regretted that decision. It’s her pleasure and privilege as she works alongside her highly talented team of family and Board Members. They’ve expanded Meena’s dream by sharing their proven Coach- ing the Heart model as, “The Awesome Team”, touching thousands of people’s hearts, building people up, while educating them about the undisputed power of beliefs, which is what coaching is all about.

Meena’s quote that started her journey to build this foundation exemplifies the progress that coaching delivers to clients as they’re reminded: “The moment of change begins through Awareness in Action with Accountability, and that’s what Coaching is all about.” Today, their ‘labor of love and loyalty with unity’ continues to expand with the deep appreciation and enthusiasm they all feel to serve others, no matter what their circumstances. When Meena is interviewed, she often says, “… going beyond backgrounds, beliefs and boundaries is what coaching teaches her” to be in every waking moment. She shares it now with millions of people worldwide via her original quotes. Together, Meena and their Awesome Team expects to publish more writings to help uplift people’s spirits, soften their hearts, and energize humanity!
